Introduction

Sodium citrate is an organic acid sodium salt. The appearance is white to colorless crystals, with a cool salty taste, and stable in the air. The chemical formula is C6H5Na3O7, soluble in water but insoluble in ethanol. The aqueous solution has a slight alkalinity and is commonly used as a buffering agent, chelating agent, bacterial culture medium. It is used in medicine as a diuretic, expectorant, anticoagulant, and in food, beverage, electroplating, photography, and other fields.

Application

Used as food additive, complexing agent and buffer for electroplating industry, pharmaceutical industry for the manufacture of anticoagulant, light industry for detergent additives
